Understand how clock-out times are recorded and when to use the stayed longer toggle

Clock-out time shows as scheduled time

When an employee clocks out, the system records the scheduled end time by default. There are two scenarios:

Employee clocks out before scheduled time

The clock-out time is automatically updated to the actual clock-out time.

Employee clocks out after scheduled time

For the system to record the actual clock-out time, the employee must enable the Stayed longer to work toggle when clocking out.

Prerequisite

This requires that you have enabled the setting under Time Clock settings to adjust times based on employee input. Check this setting if times are still not updating correctly.
