How to handle public holidays for flex-time employees

Employees with flex time do not automatically get public holidays off in Frontliners. To ensure correct time tracking without deducting from their vacation balance, a fictive shift is used.

Step by step

1. Go to the schedule for the relevant public holiday.
2. Create a new shift for the employee with their normal working hours (standard hours).
3. Write Paid day off / Public holiday in the comment field on the shift.

This way the employee gets their normal hours registered, the time balance is not affected, and it does not count as vacation.
