Troubleshooting notifications
Not receiving notifications from Frontliners? Here's how to make sure everything is set up correctly.
Step 1: Install the App Correctly
Frontliners notifications require the app to be installed on your phone. You have three options:
- iPhone: Download from the App Store
- Android: Download from Google Play
- PWA (any device): Go to use.frontliners.ai in your browser and add it to your home screen

Step 2: Allow Notifications on Your Device
When you first open the Frontliners app, it will ask permission to send notifications. You need to select Allow.
If you previously denied notifications, you can re-enable them:
On iPhone/iPad:
- Open Settings
- Scroll down and tap Frontliners
- Tap Notifications
- Toggle Allow Notifications on
On Android:
- Open Settings
- Tap Apps (or Applications)
- Find and tap Frontliners
- Tap Notifications
- Toggle notifications on
Step 3: Check Your Notification Settings in Frontliners
Some notification types can be individually enabled or disabled within Frontliners itself:
- Click your profile picture in the top-right corner
- Go to Profile settings
- Check your notification preferences
- Make sure the relevant notifications are turned on
Common Issues
"I'm not getting notifications for vacation requests"
Make sure you haven't confused vacation requests (ferieønsker) with shift requests (vagtønsker) — they have separate notification settings.
"Notifications worked before but stopped"
- Check if your phone's operating system was recently updated — this can sometimes reset notification permissions
- Make sure the app is not in "Do Not Disturb" or "Focus" mode
- Try logging out and back in
"Only some employees get notifications"
Each employee needs to install the app and allow notifications individually on their own device.
