Web app vs. mobile app - what is the difference?

Frontliners is available as a web app (PWA), an iPhone app, and an Android app. Here's the difference — and how to call employees directly from the app.

Three Ways to Use Frontliners

Frontliners is available in three versions:

  • Web app (PWA): Go to use.frontliners.ai in your browser. You can add it to your home screen for quick access.
  • iPhone app: Download from the App Store
  • Android app: Download from Google Play

All three versions give you access to the same features: your schedule, shifts, notifications, and more.

Which Should I Use?

All three options work well. Choose whichever is most convenient for you:

  • If you prefer not to download an app, use the web app at use.frontliners.ai
  • If you want the full native experience with push notifications, download the iPhone or Android app

Adding the Web App to Your Home Screen

On iPhone (Safari):

  1. Go to use.frontliners.ai
  2. Tap the Share icon
  3. Select Add to Home Screen

On Android (Chrome):

  1. Go to use.frontliners.ai
  2. Tap the menu (three dots)
  3. Select Add to Home screen

Calling Employees from the App

You can call your employees directly from the Frontliners app on your phone — no need to search for numbers elsewhere:

  1. Tap the menu in the app
  2. Select Employees
  3. Find the employee you need — you can search by name
  4. Tap the phone icon next to the employee
  5. Your phone will automatically call them

This is especially useful during no-shows or sick leave, when you need to quickly reach someone while on the floor.
