How do I set a termination date for an employee?

Setting a termination date for an employee in Frontliners is a straightforward process. This article will guide you through the steps to properly set an employee's end date and handle any associated shifts.

To set an end date for an employee:

  1. Navigate to the "Employees" section in Frontliners.
  2. Find and edit the employee you want to set an end date for.
  3. Locate the "Employment end date" field.
  4. Enter the employee's last working day.
  5. Click "Save" to confirm the changes.

If the system indicates that there are shifts scheduled after the end date:

  1. For any shifts beyond the end date, you have two options:
    1. Delete the shifts: This is recommended if the shifts are no longer needed.
    2. Transfer the shifts: You can transfer them to a specific employee or to open shifts.
  2. To delete shifts, click delete.
    1. Select the specific employee or "open".
    2. Click on "Transfer shifts".
After handling all future shifts, save the end date again.
