How Can Employees Receive Notifications for New Shifts?

In Frontliners, employees are automatically notified about their shifts under the following circumstances:

  1. When a schedule is published:
Once a schedule is finalized and published, employees will receive a chat notification informing them that a new schedule is available and that they have shifts assigned within it. This ensures they are aware of upcoming shifts without manually checking the system.

  2. When a new shift is created and published:
If a manager creates and publishes an individual shift for an employee outside of the regular schedule release, the employee will be explicitly notified about that shift. This ensures they are informed of any newly added shifts.

  3. When an existing shift is modified:
If one of their shifts is changed — whether it’s a time adjustment, a shift swap, or other modifications — employees will receive a notification about that particular shift. This guarantees they stay updated on any changes to their schedule.

For open shifts, employees are not notified automatically. In these cases, managers must manually send chat messages to inform employees about available open shifts, encouraging them to pick up those shifts.

This notification structure ensures that employees stay informed about all their scheduled shifts, while open shifts require direct communication to encourage voluntary sign-ups.
