How do I manage contract requirements for employees?

Frontliners allows you to block shift assignments for employees without signed contracts. This feature ensures that only employees with properly signed contracts can be assigned to shifts, improving compliance and workforce management.

Settings for shifts and contracts

  1. Go to the shift plan settings.
  2. You'll find two contract options:
    1. Block if the manager hasn't signed a contract
    2. Block if the employee hasn't signed a contract

Note: These settings apply company-wide, not per location.

Attaching contracts

Contracts signed through the system are automatically marked with relevant signatures, but you might have contracts signed outside Frontliners. To mark those signed, please follow these steps:

  1. When attaching a new contract, use the signature marking options.
  2. For existing attached contracts, click the small box next to the contract to mark it signed.

Shift management

When assigning shifts, you will see an icon and text for employees without signatures:

  1. When creating, modifying, or approving a shift, you'll see a new icon and explanatory text for employees who can't be selected due to missing signatures.
  2. You'll receive an error message if you attempt to select an ineligible employee.

Employee termination and shift transfer

When transferring shifts from a terminated employee, you can only select employees with valid contracts.

Templates

You can create templates including employees without contracts, but when inserting the template, these shifts will be added as open shifts.

To use these features effectively, always ensure that contracts are properly signed and uploaded in the system. Regularly review and update contract statuses to maintain accurate workforce management.
